Due to the occurrence of volcanic earthquakes, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology has issued a ‘level 3 alert’ for Mayon Volcano in Albay, signifying a heightened risk of lava flows and probable eruptions. Residents within a 6-kilometer radius of the volcano are being evacuated, according to Albay Governor Edcel Lagman.
