Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas chairman Ismail Haniyeh have traveled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in order to discuss the increase of violence in the West Bank, detainment of Palestinians linked with Hamas by Saudi authorities as well as bettering ties between them. This is signified by it being their first meeting since 2015.
